For more incredible vocal performances by K.C., click on http://www.kcfrogge.com -- This is a parody song I wrote thinking about the parallels between the earnest immigrants in Neil Diamond's mega-hit from the 1970s ("America") and today's determined civil-rights struggle of the LGBT community's committed couples to join together in matrimony and have their relationships validated by our governmental agencies so that they can truly feel their citizenship contributions are fully appreciated and respected. Here are the lyrics:
Far, we have come very far
and we're getting close, but haven't reached our star
Free, we all want to be free
to realize our matrimonial dream
Through the courts and in the states,
it's coming to America
never second-class again
it's coming to America
Unknown back in the Stonewall days
now arm-in-arm in a public space
never apart to be torn,
never apart to be torn
And home, is where we'll take our rightful place,
Jake with Ted and Elaine with Grace
marriage rites will be sworn
marriage rites will be sworn
Everywhere, an enlightened world
is asking, "Where's America?"
And when that rainbow flag's unfurled,
it's coming to America
Live the dream, we'll make it there
it's coming to America
Spouses-for-life, they're everywhere
it's coming to America
It's coming to America...
it's coming to America...
it's coming to America...
it's coming to America,
TODAY! (Massachusetts!)
TODAY! (Connecticut!)
TODAY! (Vermont!)
TODAY! (Iowa!)
It's our country, and if we're free,
give us our Liberty
with our wedding rings...
with our wedding rings,
TODAY! (New Hampshire!)
TODAY! (Maine!)
TODAY! (New York!)
TODAY! (D.C.!)
and then...
SOMEDAY! (Idaho!)
SOMEDAY! (Texas!)
SOMEDAY! (Utah!)
SOMEDAY! (Kansas!)
and of course,
TODAY! (California!)

There's something you DON'T know (and likely a LOT things you don't know):
This was taped 25 lbs. ago (the only way I'm a "loser") and in a few months, I'll have a major victory, just like, just like we'll all feel victory and have equality in due time.
I may be fat, but you're ugly and I'm getting back in shape.
Too bad you build yourself up by tearing other people down. No matter. You're water off a duck's back, and your kind of bigotry someday will be HISTORY.
LOL.
