@Heather, we really like the color better than Walnut Crystals, too...warmer and more aged looking. @Gwen, hard to say...I'm going to guess it will continue to "age". Definitely for your "aged" look, not your archival one... email me in 20 years or so and I'll have a look at our samples and we can see. @lovethatcat2, another great point. We cleaned our bottle with a little vinegar in water just like our coffee maker. These spritz/spray bottles have a million uses and they're travel sized...

It's also good not to keep the coffee spray for longer than a day or too because the coffee will begin to mold in the bottle. It would be better to make a new batch than to mess up a good bottle. ;)

Fantastic! I'm not a coffee drinker either, but I'll need to buy some instant just for this technique....and it's cheaper than walnut ink crystals! TFS, Heather

how does the tannic acid last after time? can you spray archivers spray over it later and it will not harm photos etc?
Great point! You cannot use this with your treasured photos for an archival result! We strongly recommend color copying any valued photos before attempting a technique such as this. The point here, of course, is to age the paper...that's what acid does in old, pre-acid free papers. These papers will continue to age and look even more Fran•táge as time goes by!
