Played finger style on my 6-string Republic brass-bodied parlor resonator guitar. This is currently the only guitar I'm playing because both my Nationals are locked inside the safe (background), and I'm having technical difficulties with the (un)locking mechanism.

Note: I wear the ski mask because I'm otherwise famous, and don't want this to "get out".

@tommark430 I usually lose a few pounds (not enough though) in the warm weather months. I know this will be hard to believe because I look so damned fat, but I've been an avid hiker most of my 64 years, and hike the southern Appalachian mountains, here in Tennessee, but also in nearby North Carolina, Kentucky, and Virginia. (I think you all call it trekking over there).

But is that something your wife would be interested in?

@whirligig29 Those Republic (Chinese) resonators are very good guitars. That little guitar surpasses in sound two Dobros I have owned; a Model 90 wood soft cutaway, and Model 90 brass Duolian. It did not surpass them in workmanship, and my metal Dobro had an engraved palm tree.

Nor does it surpass either one of my two Nationals, in sound or workmanship, but is a true bargain and fine instrument, nonetheless, After all, either one of those Nationals is worth more than my truck :=(

@Mstarnr92 I've got a problem. I am using a older (6-7 yrs) Hitachi DZ-MV580A video camera. Though it has a built-in stereo microphone, I find the sound quality of music recorded thus is lacking. So I use a Shure SM58 omni-directional stage microphone which is really good. (Sometimes too good). Using a Radio Shack adapter, I plug this mic into the camera. But in doing so, lose stereo. Any ideas?
