He keeps things calm, shows right away it's not an attack or forced intervention, relaxes everyone and does what works. He starts with the same script and comes across sincere and caring but if it doesn't work, he can get tough or caring as needed (see Allison's case). Notice they give him what seem to be the most impossible cases? He's great.

i hate it when others rag on this guy for "using the same lines over and over". give him a fucking break, the guy is helping addicts recover and you guys are pissed off at him for something so stupid (im not talking about anyone specifically in the comments or the author of this)

if it works don't fix it. it's not entertainment as much as the real deal. it doesn't need to be entertaining. if that's what you are looking for, change the channel. Jeff's book has helped change my life and many others. God uses broken lives to mend other broken lives. The process is NOT pretty and not all that cool. But the results truely are.

Uncle? Someone who cheats on his wife.Does drugs and then starts a TV show and sells books making mega bucks off the very things he is not devoted too? Give me a break. We all have our faults but to profit off them? To profit off a Jerry Springer type show where people gloat over other peoples suffering.
