Yeah you need to wear a helmet. They provide helmets or you can bring your own. I think the ones they have are vented so if you have the vented helmet mount then you're good to go - or you should be able to use your own helmet but doubt you want to travel with it for spring break.

It's true that you aren't supposed to shoot video. There are a couple signs at the gearing area as well that state this. I think the main reason for this is that they want people to pay attention to what they're doing. I had my camera strapped to my chest so I they probably didn't have this concern with me. If you walk around holding a video camera and then try to launch holding it they will likely stop you.

Was told they don't allow to record videos or take pictures during the zip. Did you get a special permit?
