@50patrice oh i'm not saying Sonny doesn't have his flaws or that his need to never feel powerless or not in control doesn't play a HUGE factor in why he's stayed with the mob so long. i think in the earlier days he could've gotten out had he felt the need but IMO at this point of his mob career there is no leaving. i believe the same is true for Jason leaving the mob at this point. with the amount of reach & power they have, they've made too many enemies to just go off & live normal lives.

@gigga143 I'm usually in agreement with you, gigga. i gotta take a different line on this one, though. we know Sonny needs money, power and control. the mob was the first thing he knew that gave it to him. there are other kinds of jobs/ppl that have money, power and control. Mob is easier for Sonny. He knows it. Sonny rarely does what is good/right for others if it will inconvenience HIM. I think that is why he stays. I don't think it is because he cannot change, but because he will not. JMO

@TBSManning i agree with you on everything except for Sonny being able to change... i don't think he could at this point. it was when he tried starting to be legit with that coffee house that got Michael shot because Sonny was lax. he's been in the business WAY 2 long to get out now, he has 2 many enemies to ever go legit unless he wants to hide out on some island away from everyone he cares about for the rest of his life. the only way Sonny can get it is by death whether he stays in or leaves.
