These Lipizzans are from the original 6 blood lines developed in Slovenia. We saw them in the Lipica Stud Farm in Slovenia.

  • Who said they were from Vienna? The video was taken in Slovenia at the Lipica Stud Farm.

  • This was not taken at the show in MN or any other show in the United States. Instead it was straight from Slovenia at the original Lipica Stud Farm.

  • Actually the Spanish Riding School starting accepting women as trainees or "elevens" as they are called, just this past year. Owning a Lipizzaner is just about the best thing anyone could imagine, they are so kind, gentle and extremely intelligent. My boy is awesome!

  • @labaumbaa yeah youre right it was cuz i live in slovenia and im riding there every week so i know it was taken there:)

  • @RoanArt As I said before. Believe what you will. I'm not one to waste my time arguing with someone I do not know.

  • @richgirl141 No, they were not. Ask Andreas Hausberger, Chief Rider at the Spanish Riding School. They were NOT used for battle at all.

  • @RoanArt Hahaha. They were used in both battle and performance. But believe what you will.

  • @MMcowgirl2010 NO. Lipizzaners were NEVER used for battle, nor were they bred for battle. That is straight from the Chief Rider of the Spanish Riding School.

  • @richgirl141 Lipizzaners were never used for battle and were not bred for battle. They were bred to perform for Royalty.

  • @womaninshoe Hey, Caroline :)

  • so graceful! i luv dressage

  • I could sit here and watch Lipizzaner videos all day =] Strange, when I work on a Lipizzaner stud farm. Can't get enough of this amazing breed!

  • @MMcowgirl2010 yes. all of these moves were pretty much bred into the horse. its very natural to them but they do go through some training to perfect it and make it.. almost a work of art. they are very strong horses and all of the moves the horses do were used to protect the rider from harm during battle.
