I was at that race! That crash changed the rules allowing racers to race with a car they did not qualify in, and yes he did qualify for sundays eliminations. Also that night, a sportsman category racer was killed in a crash that was so bad, the concrete guard rails were to messed up to finish the pro qualifying session.
