  • @surfjabroni (cool name by the way) Footwork is the 'servant' of dynamic balance. Dynamic balance can be described as 'body control during movement.' Let the feet do what they have to do in order to get the job done. If you find you're fighting your balance, it's not right. Strength, flexibility, dexterity, balance are components that come to mind to put it into parts (like which foot?), ...but, in the end, it has more to do with whole self (body/mind/soul) and environment adapted rhythm.

  • @surfjabroni the idea is to step forward with the opposite foot as you can see is being done here

  • @surfjabroni Footwork is highly situational. It's same at the baseline; all pros vary their stances depending on the ball.

  • I can't fault their volley technique but what is the best format for the footwork? I thought you should step over with the opposite foot i.e. left foot over to the right when taking a forehand volley? Confused
