    That's the sound of mine.

  • @dtrrider1 and do you have to have the two bits that like point out on the YPVS like a opening a closing to it if you know what i mean mine looks different

  • @SaxoEnergy Not sure what you mean exactly, but it does appear that your black plastic part is broken, there should be a bit on it that aligns the valve to a little hole in the metal behind the rotating part.

Google "dtr net ypvs" for a detailed diagram of all powevalve parts.

  • @dtrrider1 so i need a new powervalve pulley attachment then by the looks of it but iv seen a few people with broken ones and it still works fine

  • Seems to turn ok actually, just sounded different to mine. You won't see the dirt (it's black exhaust muck) until you remove the valve completely from the engine. I clean mine out every year and give it a bit of grease. I'll upload vid of how mine sounds, I just filmed it in a dark garage so there's nothing to see, just some noise =p

  • @dtrrider1 i would say that kinda sounds the same as mine but mine dont work gets to 6rpm and wont go any higher like how do you get yours to kick in then like do you drop a gear so the revs go up or anything else ???

  • Hi mate. I just sold my dt ive had load of them! REMOVE the cables dont use them and keep turning it manully and test till you feel the power bands the jam it with a screw or somthing This keeps the powervaulve fully open!! and trust me it will be alot faster i done it with all my DTs

  • @SaxoEnergy yeah it should work fine, the part that broke off on yours is just so you can align it correctly when you tighten the middle bolt. It won't move out of alignment once the bolt is tight.

  • should be fine
