  • Bien dit même un village en Europe est mieux que Libreville.

  • We all miss you Omar Bongo, Africa never had a leader like you and never will. My heart goes out to his family. May you rest in peace with your late wife, inshallah.

  • His legacy in my mind is of a thief and I will ensure my children know about it.

  • He plundered my country and brought every single one of his people into further poverty he is buying luxurious properties in Paris and other areas in France while his own people are suffering and leaving bellow poverty. Gabon does not even produce butter or Milk further more flour. We have no modern hospitals, roads apart from the one built in the 80s, or during the French colony, they are infested with rats and cockroaches where women are giving birth on the floor.

  • President Omar Bongo touched the heart of those Biafra survivors. Generation of Ibos do not understand what President Bongo did for us. I am angry that those Biafrans in Gabon are abandoned by our so called Ibo leaders. They are not asking for those brothers and sisters that are air lifted to other part of the world. Being part of the history I personally deeply sad of how ibo leaders forgot what we went through. I am still scar by the war. Who will fight for Biafrans in Gabon.

  • My residency is United States of America. My dream has been to visit Gabon since after the war. The name I heard during Biafra war was President Omar Bongo. You saved my fellow sisters and brothers then in Biafra by air lifted them to Gabon. When other African leaders abandoned us during the war.Gabon has been our sister country in Africa. President Omar Bongo your legacy will remain in my heart and the rest of Biafra survivors. My heart goes out to your families.

May your soul rest in peace.
