The reason why obama is so popular is that he promises things that we have in europe for years, The EU is commonly liberal-socialism but every country has it's adaptions. In the US it's all liberal and about ourself in europe there is a social care system in 24 of the 27 EU country's. If you say socialism in the USA you get an outrage. If you ask an american what is socialism exactly is they remain silent or they just say it is bad. and we are Liberal-socialism not complete socialism
