The Big Band Club Orchestra has been entertaining Montréal audiences for more than 40 years, treating listeners and dancers alike with a variety of outstanding music. The 18 piece band with its five trumpets, five saxophones, four trombones and four-piece rhythm section offers listeners a chance to hear swing, Latin, and ballad music like it was meant to be heard. Micheline Rider, the talented featured vocalist adds even more warmth and excitement to the orchestra as they play songs from Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw, Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Henry Mancini, Billy May, Lennie Niehaus, and a host of others.

Younger audiences are always amazed at how much they enjoy the music and begin to get an idea of where the roots are. L'Orchestre "Big Band Club" fait la joie des auditoires de Montréal depuis déjà plus de 40 ans. Aujourd'hui, l'orchstre est plus populaire que jamais puisqu'il rappelle à plusiers les merveilleuses mélodies et sonorités particulières à ces époques. Il s'adresse également aux plus jeunes qui ont rarement eu la chance d'entendre et de voir un "Big Band" en direct.

L'Orchestre de 18 musiciens est compose de 5 trompettes, 5 saxophones, 4 trombones et une section rythmique comprenant le piano, la contrebasse, la guitare et la batterie. Une instrumentation qui permett d'offrir une qualité d'exécution digne des créations originales, qu'il s'agisse de pièces de style swing, latin ou de balades.
