@2012uchicago To be fair, a lot of the skewed stats for Penn State's secondary come from teams having to pass due to being down a bundle (namely teams like the EMUs), but I think we'll see a lot of turnovers tomorrow. It will be one of those games where the winner is the one that can avoid mistakes the best. I think Iowa will do that, which is why I think 14-3 Iowa. Penn State right now has no offense and a great defense, meaning a lot of close losses at this point.

@MVillani1985 No, I think he'll be fine. Look at the Iowa Iowa State game. ISU always plays Iowa hard but its no excuse. Then fast forward to Iowa vs Pitt. Pitt is an ok team AT BEST and Iowa had to rally back and was able to thanks to motivation from the crowd (they won't have that vs PSU). On paper Iowa SHOULD run away with it (PSU's secondary is not very good and Iowa's WR are amazing). However, I don't see that happening for the Hawkeyes tomorrow.

@2012uchicago Iowa was ultimately the better team on that day but overall that year the two teams were close to equal. I noticed that except in 2008 the winner of Penn State-Iowa turns out to be the team that finishes with the better record overall. And I hate to admit it but with PSU's offense this year, the Lions will need a miracle to win on Saturday. Early predcition is 14-3 Iowa.

@dzradiodr Thanks for giving Penn State credit for being a good team. I'd say both defenses were dominating actually, but the Iowa special teams really are what helped crash the party. PSU dominated for three quarters overall (moved the ball into field goal range many times in the third quarter as well), but Iowa stepped it up in the 4th, and PSU was so spooked by the blocked punt that they couldn't recover. No excuses, though, Iowa was the better team, or at least on that night they were.
