I have one clear memory of visiting Santa as a child. I asked for the SSP Smash-Up Derby Set, and Santa delivered.

I'm blessed I grew up as a kid when kids played and interacted with cool toys like these in the '70's. Hot wheels ,tyco & AFX race tracks I grew up with my classmates. No texting, facebook or garbage like that. When people wanted to socialize with friends they did things together.

Man I wish I got that. I just got to play with my dads girlfriend's kids toy. But I was happy as hell to get to play with it.

My siblings and I had the Water Wiggle. When you turned the water on full force, the dang thing would whip around and beat the living heck outta you.

Yeah I remember Water Wiggle. We had plenty O' water pressure and it knocked my sister out.

But that's another thing that makes Moms all over great eh? I was born in '75 so am an 80's kids, and as such as I was obsessed with MOTU. So much that I used to have my Spidor toy walk up on Mom's bed whilst she was alseep!

And then when M.A.S.K. came along, my friends and I used to use my Grandmother's head as a landing platform for Switchblade and Thunderhawk, whilst all she was doing was trying to read her book in the sun on the front porch.

I'm grateful for those I had in my life as a kid!

Haha...don't remember the first toy, but thought of the Bananna Splits when I heard 'Bing, Bang, Boing'....don't know why.

Had the green Detonator SSP and the Smash-up Derby set. I'm sure they drove my mother crazy, but she bought them and never said a word.
