Hopefully the people that stole it are dead, or will die. Why would someone say to them self, Hey that is a nice car. i am a deadbeat i will steal it and probably ditch it into the river/sea.

Dads uncle had a worked v8 holden nicked about 25 yrs back and insurance only found a bit of it left in a big storm drain. Apparantly it had been flogged at the drags then cut up.
