  • @atticthoughts I totally agree, my heart aches for Brian. Comments that say he was a drug addict, a woman beater, and me knowing all the stars have done this and were forgiven. I often wonder if ppl could possibly be that naive to believe he was the only one to do those things back then. ppl need to do research and they'll find. Brian was one of a kind, he will always be my favorite musician. He was the Rolling Stones.

  • @j77777j7 (cont.) Brian was no worse than other troubled stars at that time if you ask people who knew him. I mean Keith Moon beat up his girlfriend, Hendrix beat up his girlfriend and Lennon could be a mean SOB. But people never comment that. They are remembered for their talents. The glimmers have made Brian being remembered as a horrible human being and that is just evil. I call it character assassination. Just look what people write. It's Keith's words over and over.

  • @j77777j7 "Stoned" was Wolley's and Rawling's idea of Brian as this decadent "sex, drugs and rock n roll" character. They claim to be fans but have obviously failed to hear what people close to Brian has said about him. I think it's important to admit that Brian had major flaws. The glimmers acted like first class bastards towards him but Brian was good at making life difficult and being self destructive. But still, as you said, he wasn't as bad as people seem to think.

  • @j77777j7 "Lindsay-Hogg" :)

  • @atticthoughts Lindsey-Hogg is exact, as I have seen in video clips, photos, docs, etc. Brian wasn't as bad a person as he's been portrayed, only human. In Keith's book "Life" he doesn't give Brian the credit he deserves, and the movie "Stoned" was a disaster as well. However, Brian's true fans know of his talents, and importance. I've read some of your comments in response to Brian and you always tell the truth. Thank you, please correct me when I'm wrong I never want Brian to ever be forgotten

  • @j77777j7 The contradictions are a big problem and especially for fans of Brian. The friendship between Mick, Keith and Brian was a weird one and seems to have changed from day to day. I think it was Lindsay-Hogg who said that; "Brian always thought that they glimmers were teaming up against him and the more he thought about that the more they did". One and one they seem to have gotten along well with Brian but when they were together they were merciless on him.

  • @atticthoughts - You're right, Mick & Keith were there for him during court, and afterwards. Although, I think the PD was harder on Brian. So many contradicting stories around the group. I'm a huge fan of Brian and the Stones. Thank you for clearing that up. :)

  • @j77777j7 To be fair Brian had support from Mick but also Keith during all this. They knew what he went through and it seems that at least Mick's concern was genuine. But I believe he was pushed a bit by Marianne Faithful to be the bigger man since Marianne liked Brian a lot. Mick went to both of his trials and Keith let Brian stay at Redlands to get some rest.

  • Brian was considered the leader and had to take more heat. Mick and Keith had each other, Brian was alone. It was really sad.

  • He looks shit scared.
