COBB Tuning Surgeline tuned this 2007 Subaru WRX STI Limited on E85 with a 35R and a highly modified fuel system. E85 continues to be popular with automotive enthusiasts looking to use a cheaper alternative to leaded, high-octane racing fuels.
@madmestesoskillz Please read recently added post in addition. Also keep in mind that to be completely safe you will need to replace all of your fuel lines and associated hardware with stainless as regular hoses will dehydrate and crack due to lack of petroleum content in the fuel. Injectors will need to be much larger. and you may need extra fuel pumps. I have Aeromotive lines, 1200cc ID injectors, 1 walbro 255 pump to feed the surge tank, and two Bosch 044 pumps for the main rails. Expensive

It is less expensive per gallon however, depending on atmospheric conditions and tuning, you will burn through it faster as more volume is required per combustion cycle. This car is not my daily driver and if it were i would be using regular premium fuel so as to not get stuck somewhere without an e85 station present. There are only two anywhere near close to me and not usually where i would drive. Figure that it will cost the same as premium unleaded per mile however you will gain more power.
@Frankenboost depending on cost difference though. No? E85 is almost a whole dollar cheaper per gallon here in San Diego (depending on what gas station)
The Crawford kit has no BOV. Closed loop however the kit was built to handle the pressure and so far I have not had any reliability issues nor have any friend using the same or 30R kit who greatly abuse their cars. I may switch to a BOV however for better response getting on and off throttle through sweepers.
None. It's fully built and started at 0 miles. Including all internals as well as valves, cams, springs, retainers. We used a fresh block and all new parts on the build. Sold the original motor.
