That was so awesome!! Like being a fly on the wall of a New York happening! I bet there are hours of film in Andy's vault which would blow our minds. Someday, someway, some one is gonna put em all together and make one hell of a film!

First the Velvets play a head shrink convention and then years later the Cramps play at a loony bin, Ha Ha.

This is taken from a (much) longer work by Jonas Mekas ("Diaries", I think).

"I was too fascinated watching the psychiatrists. They were really upset, and some of them started to leave ... As if the music --the feedback, actuallyy-- that the Velvets were playing wasn't bad enough to drive them out, the movie lights were blinding them and the questions were mkaing them turn red and stutter ... And Gerard did his notorious Whip Dance. I loved it all."

Worth watching just to see Gerard Malanga dancing with his whip! Some of the film seems hand-colored? Does anyone know?
