I was going to write a load about how even though this bike is old, heavy, not a quick as alot of newer bikes, it's still a fantastic bike but the fact is that in the right hands its extremely capable and will kick many a younger, lighter and more powerfull bikes ass..... and it will always be one of the best looking bikes of all time.

@jimbobbignob123 talk shit all you want about it, whether your r6 can beat the 7r or not doesn't matter, 15 years ago my '94 ZX7 smoked my cousin's '86 Ninja 900 and it should! Every year technology makes thing smaller, lighter and faster, thats the way it goes but it doesn't mean the older bikes suck. The ZX7's where some the best bikes build even if newer ones beat them, if the newer ones don't beat'em the manufacturer's are not doing their job.

I'll play that game too: ZX7R 123HP and 200KG weight.

TORQUE: ZX7R approx 53.7lbs @8750, R6 42.7lbs @10,750.

This means you have to scream the nuts off of an R6 to get the most out of it while the ZX7R will pull harder from lower revs. A competent rider on a ZX7R will murder an R6 around a circuit.

Plus don't you think, it's impressive for a bike that's 11 years older than yours??

@jimbobbignob123 I owned a 97 7r.... my back mirror was telling another story man.... sorry but.... r6's really are slower!!!!! fact is your r6 has 133 cranck bhp, meaning that has less than 115 on the back wheel. and that is only when you get to 12 or 13k revs.... below that, it makes the most of 75 to 80 bhp.... the bike has no torque ......

ummm i have 133 bhp standard from my lil r6r and the 7r has lot less than that and mine weighs 161 kg urs weighs over 200 ummmmm bit of a long shot but i recs my bike will bin on handling and power r7 are old as fuk mate and r6 are lil track wepons fact mate every mag says it and every body noes it and not 2 mention my mate has a shit fat 7r and i wipe floor with his and its not the rider because i raced him on his and he rode my r6 and hammerd me cos the 7r was just a shit bike
