As far as Vernon Davis goes, he stepped up bigtime. People in this video along with a whole lot of other people were doubting him like crazy.

niners are gonna tear some shit up this year. Gore, VD, Jason Hill, Josh Morgan, Crabtree. And the backup Glen Coffee should have a solid year. Hopefully the line can hold its own. I don't know about that Marvel Smith dude he better earn his money.
With Shaun Hill as Qb, we will win some games. And don't forget about Patrick "the beast" Willis on the other side of the ball laying foos out. He should be known as Patrick the Panther the way he's all over motherfuckers. '09: Show them!

What a bust he was for us. This guy can't catch at all, and it's weird that he cannot, but he can leave in the offseason, and we can start over at the WR spot.

They all knew what they were talking about. Vernon hadn't done anything at that time and besides gore, the niners didn't really have a threat. Dalane and Morgan were all right, but double teaming crabs would be a no brainer. This year is different though.
