This is an experimental film I which has taken a long time. The first couple of minutes is film that has been exposed to the Auckland weather, sun, rain, wind you name it.
1batch exposed for 3 months outside - hanging and sticking to eachother - this giving the green effect form the sun and celluloid
2batch exposed for 3 months attached too metal - this giving blue tones from the 'cold' metal and blue from the celluloid

3part here is unexposed film (not proccesed) in a bowl of chlorine over 2 nights and than scratched on

After this the images are all cut and pasted by me to the music which is:
downpour - windstorms broken microphones EP (David Kristian)
song title: in memory of marie & the atom, on the label drop beat
I would love to hear/read your comments about this video, only made on 16mm film
Was part of an audio visual gig I did on 16mm accompanied by a DJ set on vinyls.

  • @JunkmansDada Thank you! I live in Norway now and the 16mm tools and films are limited here, therefore havent done much lately. But will try to get back into it. Thanks for your comment =)

  • WOW - I love this. Instant playlist !!!! Great images, great sound. Very interesting. I especially love the opening sections.

  • @hotlinkcinema - thank you =)

  • the blue part was so amazing! did you use a processed blank film out in the sun attached to metal?

  • @thiskidney

hi there, sorry for late reply. Yes, the blue comes from clear film, exposed to rain and sun, wind and whatnot for 3 months =) I'm glad you enjoyed it.
