The MBA Oath has come out of the financial meltdown because of the unethical and greedy behaviour. This oath shows a true need for a change in the way we do business, but it needs a structure. This book provides that structure. The oath is a good start, but we need to change things radically, not past an oath over the old ways.

There is a Zen story that goes something like the following: One day a dove was flying and happened to fly across a forest fire. The blaze spread for miles around. The dove could see all the animals fleeing in terror against the advance of the fire. It was so overtaken by pity, that the dove decided to go to the nearest lake to get some water. It flew on and eventually came to a lake. It plunged into the water and captured a few drops on its back and then returned to the conflagration. It sprinkled the drops into the flames. It then flew once more to the lake, obtained some more water, and sprinkled that on the fire. It repeated this time and time again until, overtaken by exhaustion it plunged into the furnace and died.
The moral of the story is that no good deed is wasted. However futile the effort may seem to be, one must do what one can.
Albert Low's few drops of water are this book that he has written, "Conflict and Creativity at Work: the human roots of corporate life".
