I realy do likke what he said and I think this is right that Hong Kong should have some thing to prove them and Hong kong dont have much space is only because so many people came from china(大陸) look see if all those people are gone only left this real Hong kong people that should be much much more area that we can work on and I m sure and one more thing I m going to say is I m eally Suporting what he is say

to lorgei: I am just say that we don't need this ugly cement pier, not all the heritage or historical building, don't mislead my words. In fact this pier is not a high value historical building. at least I think the old central post office is more value than it, from the design and the historical points, the central post office is directly related to most HK people, Regret that it had been destroyed! why you guys didn't opposed it at that moment?

to Kirkma, HK already has a lots of land marks, don't need this ugly cement pier. it's just a simple desing like the kwun tong or tsuen wan old pier. Have you visited those cities in China, they really the same?

Honestly say, those old train station have been modified, otherwise they can't to serve the public anymore!

the old kowloon railway station, can't be in service for the modern days too!

To starstarca, What is the identity? When you go shopping, you buy what shows your identity. Do you like someone buy for you, and put on you, you would probably say "no." If so, why the city cannot retain its identity. The majority new airports in China, technically, they are the same looking, which becomes bored. This is no character. The train stations in major cities of the US and Euorpe, are unite and different, and everyone retains its own stories that people participated.

Are you suggesting that all heritage/historical buildings be demolish in favour of commercial high rises which generate revenue for the goverment? Have you even thought about all the unrenewable resources you'd need to use to demolish and construct as opposed to a 'adaptive reuse' approach?

i think those fool only play anti-govermnent game. it is their final goal. if they are brave enought, just declare they will anti any thing the government propose, and even declare they will against the CCP government, i may have mercy on them and support their fool!
