During the late 50's early 60's I was virtually always in front of the TV watching Flatt and Scruggs on Saturdays at 5:30 P.M., and God help anyone who even hinted at changing the station at that time. If I was unavoidably too far to make it home, I would stop at a friends house and try to help him realize that right then was the time he needed to see the best music he could ever hope to see. Since these FandS T.V. shows have become available again my description of them still applies.
One of these days I'm gonna get me a D-28 with a big ole fancy-dancy pickguard... just like Lester and Earl!
In my youngsterhood, Lester and Earl's TV show aired in the dinner hour on Saturday. Always caused me conflict as wrestling was over on channel 4 at the same time! (decisions, decisions!)... And in those days, ya had to getup and walk across the room to "flip" the channels! Fond memories they are!
your right about that. They are the best .
