Zambian Women Spiritual Singing

This is a video that I filmed of a group of Zambian women singing at the nightly prayer meeting at the future site of the International Bible College in Kizembe, Zambia. These women are the wives of some of the Zambian Baptist ministers who were working at the college. These women prepared three meals, daily, for all of us (they often sang while they cooked). Every night, they blessed us with their wonderful singing. I just regret that I didn't get more tape of their singing...but I am very hopeful for my anticipated visit there next year.

My mother, who passed away five years ago today, was a missionary to the Central African Republic for 12 years before I was born. She sang many songs to me when I was little that sounded just like this style of singing. Africa, real sub-Saharan Africa, got mixed in her blood, never to be separated again. She often told me she had an African heart. I haven't yet been to Africa, but I can't thank you enough for posting this video. It is one of the most loveliest, blessed videos ever on Youtube.
