this game won IGN PC game of the year 2008, and Ive never heard of it... hell its not even available on steam or D2D. Somethings not right here.

Well seeing how SoaSE is being published by Stardock, it only makes sense that they use their own digital distribution called Impulse. It wouldn't make much sense to use their competitions systems now would it? :P

There are worm holes and dust clouds and such but no real form of a death to all black hole.

You can! You can make maps with thousands of planets, and you could travel to each of them, and colonize and build an army on each!

Because it is representing the colours of the galaxy you are in. It's really just artistic licensing to spice up the game so you aren't just staring at a black void.

it could be because of a nova in the area of space. normally it is black but it changes depending on the random AI generator in the game. when it comes to space this game is very accurate
