I can express how glad I am that I have a father who stands by my side, and who is in my life through these years, because these are the years that a father will try do distance himself from his teen, and I know it's hard for him. He might drink, but he still supports the family and cares for me more than anyone I know. I love him so much. And I miss our daddy-daughter dances (:

I loved that old man that said that the older I get the more I appreciate you. It was so sweet!

My father has encephalitis which changed him completely. Even though I miss my old dad, and I wish I could have him back, I still love him. It's just so hard because not only did someone I love die out, but someone else - who is somebody I would usually HATE - inhabited his body and expected me to love him.

alcoholic or not...cherish the time you have. that's a disease he may not be able to control. my father died of alcohol and i wish i can spend 1 more day with him even if he's drunk....
