Yeah, the GOP held Congress from 1995 to 2006. How were those years for you?

My recollection is that before the GOP took over, Democratic policy had us mired in red tape and unsustainable entitlement spending.

Then when the Democrats took over in 2006, the financial crisis hit, Fannie and Freddie began giving out mortgages like hotcakes, we entered a depression, and now the Dems are blowing money like Eric Massa blows...well, you get the idea.

@porsche187 what a crock of democrat talking points your are spewing. you are nothing more than a parrot - simply repeating what your leaders tell you. i was never a big bush fan but, at least, during his tenure, we had LOW unemployment and solid growth. as i write this, the dollar is falling, foreclosures are unprecedented, unemployment is in double digits, inflation is returning and energy prices are soaring. the democrats are, once again, destroying the economy as they always do.

Huppenthal, the state senator that supports education on camera, then votes to drastically cut spending. Hypocrite? Well, to those of us informed, the description "Republican" will do as the two are equally synonymous. GOP'ers are only angry because the Govt. is working again after an 8 year lull btwn Clinton and Obama. They are not used to functional government with clear policy goals and an agenda that doesn't include deficit spending on foreign countries a la George W. Bush.

Seriously the only thing good out of the Bush Administration were all those "bushisms": "I believe human being and fish can coexist peacefully" "fool me once...shame on....you?...fool me can't get fool again" HAHAHAHAHA. Other comical GOP characters: Palin. A memorable clown who didn't know the role of VP and claims to see Russia from her house!! Mark Foley the guy who tried to hit it off with some young pages!! McCain-the guy that supports amnesty and deporting illegals-at the same time!!

GWB's failure: declaring "mission accomplished" when it really wasn't lol. We are still in Iraq today. Did little to abate the financial crisis, and little to help buffer America against the recession-and boy did his approval ratings suffer. In contrast, Obama has the stimulus plan to get Americans working on critical jobs to make vital improvements and repairs to the decaying infrastructure. I'm sure Bush would have done the same thing-only in Iraq.
