Watch in HD as the University of Michigan Hockey Pep Band plays a song from the Blue Brothers movie during the UM versus UNO hockey game. Watch toward the end to see an awesome drum solo! The song title is " I Can't Turn You Loose" sung by Otis Redding in the sixties.

  • This is cool, but I long for the old days when they had a drum cadence that they would do during the 3rd period of a blowout, and the conductor would have a dance solo.

  • @SyracuseWolvrine Syracuse, NY? The drummer is from the Utica area!

  • michigan hockey games are the greatest college sports experience their is, and this comes from someone from ohio. Everyone has stolen playing this song now it seems. Go anywhere and find someone who doesn't play it, not many . Three cheer to michigan for starting it.

  • Watching this in Ireland. Absolutely love it. Really catches the exuberance which makes the US so special.

  • Ohio State can take our chants, but what they cant take is how great and better our programs have been forever. No matter what sport, even football, we kick their asses.

  • awesome...

and thumbs down to the six people sitting right there.. booooo

  • i love this at michigan games

  • those people sitting down and not dancing have no souls

  • @jlaff0316 The parent was Jack Johnson's dad. Prior to him, it was a dance by the water buffalo, a guy that use to wear a blue hat with horns. You can see a clip of his dad on youtube. Jack left for the pro's quite early (third overall pick in Crosby's draft class), and the dance was kept alive after he left. As for the band moving closer to the students, that was due to the administrations inability to keep the students from yelling the "See Ya Chant", and tried to drown out the cheer.

  • I blasted this like 100 times after I found out that Osama was dead haha. HAIL TO THE USA, HAIL TO THE VICTORS!!!

  • Great cheer song. Check out fan fun at yost arena with Peter cheering the blues for Michigan hockey team! Go Blue

  • Anyone know who made up the dance?
