HI MAN, IVE HEARD FROM YOU THAT YOU WAS LOOKING FOR A  'CPM 3 V' STEEL BLADE KNIFE : IN YOUR OPINION A KNIFE WITH THIS KIND OF STEEL, IS BETTER THAN THE BARK RIVER BRAVO ONE IN A2 STEEL ? No, I haven't had a chance to use a knife made with CPM 3V, yet. I've heard great things, as well. But experience has taught me not to believe everything I hear - even if it's from the majority. I'll find out someday for myself.

Yes. But anything with vinegar in it would work. Some people use katchup, mayo, vinegar in a rag, etc.

would a gatco coarse double diamond pocket hone work for my bravo 1 or should i just get the gatco hone sharpening system with the six different hones. What strop should i get the one in your sharpening video?

The big strop that I show in the "newer" stropping video is the one I use for the Bravo1.

How did your patina hold up after your testing? Did you find yourself having to force another patina on it?

@jabames ,for 'hard tasks'I would use a hatchet.The Fiskars X7 or GB wildlife hatchet are born choppers and weigh not more than big knives anyway.Some carry a BK-2 or ESEE-5 .Why carry such weight when you can carry a hatchet with the same weight that is much more effective.And you can cut some wood with also.Just combine it with a small knife like the Bravo1 or a Mora.All the way

because the Ka-Bar has a thin tang and weak for hard tasks, is there any knives with a thick strong tang with similar blade length as the ka-bar?

I REALLY want to buy this knife, but noss4 showed the edge rolling with some light batoning. Have you had an problems with rolling or warping of the edge?
