Homer L. Deakins, Jr., Managing Shareholder at Ogletree Deakins, expresses his concerns about the Employee Free Choice Act and how it will harm employees, and not help them. He discusses the two major objectives of the bill and why it shouldn't be brought up again. Distributed by Tubemogul.
That last quip he said was interesting. Back in those days, there weren't any "elections" at all. People said they wanted to sign up with "the union", and they'd become members instantly. Then, they'd go and organize the workplace.
Maybe we should go back to that - no elections at all. If workers say "I want a union", they're instantly members, with protections, and then fight it out with management, on their own.
