    Yes, but could it be possible to make not one, but a multiple receiver set up? Like, if there was a physical wall in the vicinity, you could use 4 receivers in a 4 corners pattern to "project" signal reception, while some other device handles the actual holograms. Just an ultra rough mental sketch, but putting it that way seems more realistic and near future imho.
