Tribe records legend is back with his new album 'a real deal' on the Heavenly Sweetness label.

Doug has played drums or sung with Charles Mingus, Dorothy Ashby, Sam Rivers, Lonnie Liston Smith and countless others.

He is curently living in Austia and working with Carl Craig on a tribe records reunion.

pure beauty.....doug allowed me to perform on my first creative session while in high school.....around 1966. focus novi was among the truly creative ensembles in detroit during the black arts movement...i used to play this every morning...peace
