ILLUMINATE Parkinsons Photographic Exhibition

Allan Amato is a famed photographer living in Los Angeles (allanamato.com). When he heard that his good friend Becky Hurd had been diagnosed with Parkinsons, he immediately began thinking of what he could do to support her and to learn about the symptoms. It was then that the Illuminate Parkinson's Travelling Gallery Show was born.

In brief, the concept is to show beautiful black and white portrait images of people with Parkinson's, alongside colourful images of celebrity supporters. These images form part of an exhibition travelling for two years and culminating with the finale at the World Parkinson's Congress in September / October 2013.
