Free Hugs Campaign - Bangkok

Sometimes, a hug is all what we need. Free hugs is a real life controversial story of Juan Mann, A man whose sole mission was to reach out and hug a stranger to brighten up their lives.

In this age of social disconnectivity and lack of human contact, the effects of the Free Hugs campaign became phenomenal, and this symbol of human hope spread across the World! Across continents over millions of peoples and hundreds of cities!!!

And now - finally!! Bangkok!!!!!!!

This video shows how it was first started by Juan Mann, unto how it eventually spread across continents, millions of people and hundreds of cities. And one wonders why all around the world but never Bangkok? Yes - we had the coup d'etat and then we had the bombings instead.

But imagine with the public morale so low, all one could do was pass around hugs! to cheer up people and to bring back the smiles. And we just needed to start it, to get out there and show that it could be done, to share the love! And we did it! With special thanks to a special friend, we went to the streets and we wrote FREE HUGS and we stood there waiting, sharing jokes and calling out to people, and as if what everyone needed was actually just a spark, there we were! Hugs started flying around everywhere, scenes of joy, laugther, happiness, celebration and so much more. So much footage that we could hardly choose the best scenes to fit Sick Puppies' song!!!!

SO SPREAD THE WORD! pass this video on to everybody you know in Bangkok, so that they know it CAN BE DONE!! and it must be.. may such that Bangkok is once again the city of smiles!! the city of laughter!! the city of peace and freedom!!!

By the way, if you really care about what you call spreading love, hug everyone, what I mean here is that don't shun away from street beggars! Because I just saw in some free hug campaigns, that they just passed by without even look at those street beggars! To me, those campaigners are nothing more than pretenders or impostors! Not genuine at all!

i love the hugs campaing, feel so good, thanks for every hugs, hope this campaing will be done in every countries in the world, by the culture of Thai people, they don't hug or kiss together in the puplic, a bit shy to show how they love together (maybe many countries in asia), so as i see on this video most are tourists, anyway thanks to did this campaing in Thailand, one hug from Thailand "The land of smile"

Sadly most Thai people are quite shy and not so open to strangers. That's why we see only foreigners and tourists willing to hug in the video. I wish someday we'll have a Thai hugger gets hugged by Thai people. Great video, though, especially that St.Bernard !

Yeah, you definitely needed to use darker, thicker markers. and bigger signs. No one would be able to read those from a distance at night. Looks like you had a lot of success though!
