It takes a man with a lot of balls to try and follow Trane during this time and then trade fours. Stan did an admirable job if you dig his pre-bop tenor excursion a la. Prez, Hawk, early Dexter. Trane was of another new level and realm of playing during this time that Getz never delved into. It was a good move for him to delve into bossa-nova, it saved his career from obscurity..
