@PantsuPantsu Sorry for replying so long after the comment, but you're slightly wrong.
Heroic Spirit EMIYA did not regain his memory exactly. He remembered key parts and people, but most of it had faded away with time. Archer never lies, but he does keep secrets. When he said his memory was "hazy", he was telling the truth. I think the closest times he came to lying was saying he did not know who he was, but he also could have been figurative about it, because his life was a false ideal.

@Sweetz15 there is no reason why an imitation cant defeat the orginal ! :D im sure you copied this from somewhere
-
He did lose his memory but later regained it.
-
@terseon are you sure? I vaguely remember him clarifying it in the UBW line. He did lose his memory and that why he didn't know the evens of the game. I might be wrong.
What he forgot was unclear though. When he realized who he is, is uncleared.

He never lost his memory he just lie about it

Here's the thing. When Archer is summoned, he comes with INCOMPLETE memories. During the night, while Rin is asleep, he pieces it together. So he has his memories form the begginning of the novel, its just that circumstances change what he does.

I can see where I will go, yet not where I have been,
I can see the outside, but I'm blind within.
Fire is my blood, but my heart is cold,
Steel is my bone, but my soul is old.
My hands can feel, but never grasp,
Death is obscure, Life is a rasp,
I cannot hope, I can only pray,
Before Emiya fades away.
