  • The answer to your query is simple: have a toroidal window placed in the center of your home, with an inside courtyard. Plant a large Linden tree there. Bees will flock to it, and you will be able to observe them, especially when the tree dies, and it becomes a more ideal nest location. Leave it "open air" so the temperature is self-regulated by the bees.

  • What about ants?

  • Now that would look cool. A bee wall highlighted by a waterfall... With a few metal heat sinks on it...perhaps a sheet cut to look like beez... or butterflies (being stung to death).

It would have to be hooked up to a gas powered back up generator too...becouse you can't have animals relying on the power grid. Thats just cruel.

  • yea, this wasnt just random, he was asking for ideas.

liquid cooling on a wall is easy, because its a verticle flat.

you would basically make a waterfall, give it a high enough pressure to flow out, and a low enough pressure to let it flow between the wall material (probably another sheet of glass against the bees) the bottom could either collect and recool the water, or redirect it for other purposes, or both, recool some, water the flowers with the rest.

  • eww, roaches?

but yea, ive always wanted an antfarm wall, i also kinda want an antfarm sink, just because that would be trippy as shit

  • Hey that is a pretty cool idea.

  • Wow...baz needs to get a life.

Penn suggests a cool idea and asks for help...and baz basicaly calls him an idiot. Weak.

Does anyone know a liquid coolent method relevent to penns question?

  • i always drempt of a wholewall ant farm

ended up with a wholewall termites..

put some thought into the ant farm idea or mabe a worm farm wall with a few giant cockroachs ??

  • Do I have to point out that bees die? You´d end up with dead and dying bees all over your house.

Would last longer with real beehives but you´d still have problems, especially in Vegas :P I read something about a construction that lets you see the bees in a special beehive you could have like a box on the wall. But it´s not that bright.

I guess the news that pollinating insects are dying off or disappearing also didn´t pass by your ears? Cool idea, yes, but hard to sustain for a longer time.

  • Cool.

Steve Vai, one of if not THE greatest guitarists alive, is a beekeeper.

Now two cool dudes I respect are into bees.

    Hmmmm....
