This was Trumans Water's second appearance on KUCI, in late June 1993. (Their first appearance was only a few months earlier.) The band had since released Spasm Smash, and their lineup was continually experimenting.

This performance captures a rare, weird 5-man lineup:
Kevin Branstetter - bass, vox, spoon
Glen Galloway - guitar, vox
Kirk Branstetter - guitar, vox, toys
Mike Mooridian - vox, toys
Ely Moyal - drums

The entire set was basically "All Wet West Of Washington" followed by most of the second half of Spasm Smash performed in order.

There's lack of Glen-era live Trumans Water footage on YouTube as of now. Now, I enjoy all the Trumans Water live footage ever since, as their live shows remain very enjoyable and unmatchable to this day (especially with their great new album "O Zeta Zunis.") But there was something truly unmatchable with the energy of both the Branstetters and Glen Galaxy combined. It was like a funnel machine of bizarre rock to experience live. This clip is them being restrained in a small college radio station room. Live, they were literally all over the place all the time.

I had asked both Glen and Kevin if it was OK to post this, and they got back to me saying it was cool. So, enjoy!

  • @vicd Saw them open for fugazi in '91. After they were done, my friend and I went up and asked them if they were Polvo. High praise.
