  • personal thoughts on the Ipad, Sucks, reaaaly dont want it, if i get one im waiting for the HP slate, but even then i wont get 1 lol.

  • @bloodhay Bingo thats just it... If people don't have a use for an iPad it will suck hard... and badly to :P

Then again thats really the same with most products on the market... unless you have a need for something it will kinda be useless. Will have to look up the HP slate now. Im wondering how the M$ surface thing is going these days to... makes a nice coffee table from what I've seen :D

you brauht shame over your whole family you apple user

  • @warezvz but that wouldn't work :(

My wife already did it... now we feel so much more shame!

    THE HORROR!

*my ass in public... what a scary thought*

  • @Skazzious

mama should give you a good slapping on your naked ass infront of all your friends and neighbors

  • @Skazzious I'm going to wait for iPad with OS 4. I know its sales have exceeded all expectations. But I'm just one guy to do any sort of development. And lately I've been kind of stalled. i won't go into details.

Point is, I want the iPhone and iPad to run the same OS if at all possible so that I can make things simpler for me. I think I already have a scheme for device independent resolution and aspect ratios. I just don't want to have to program different guts as would be the case today.

  • @Fudmottin Oh yes of course they are powerful enough to do some pretty heavy tasks on... I mean when we looked back at our decade old systems the current mobile devices are just as powerful if not more powerful.

I remember my 1st computer. a C64. Brilliant bit of kit. Still have it and still works.

1st mac was a Mac SE/30 or SE40... and a Mac Classic. All still work :)

I was looking into setting up a telnet server on one of the old macs and leave it running just as a fun joke/toy

  • @warezvz I cant help it... we were weak... :( *cries in shame*

    ITS ALL SO SHINY

  • bad boy, you did go to the apple store. Bad bad boy

  • @Skazzious Z80 processor, 64K RAM, 80KB disk, S-100 bus. First computer. CP/M OS, 32K Structured Basic or K&R C.

My first mac: M80000? processor (8Mhz), 512K RAM, 400KB disk X 2. Mac OS 1.0, Aztec C (K&R). Had to swap out disks for compiling, assembling, and linking.

The iPhone display is quite small. But with a dock connector, keyboard, and monitor, it is powerful enough. iPad would work even better. I don't know if it can run Xcode, but it can run the tools that Xcode fronts for.
