The story of Akira is so powerful because it shows us that despite a tragic early life, and desperate circumstances, and in a country with little opportunity, that one man or woman can make a huge difference in peoples lives, not only at home but as an inspiration to the world abroad as well. Were excited to tell this story, and hopeful that the message will translate.

it's terrifying to realize what effects being forced to kill people has on a little child. the pol pot and the khymer rouge are still tearing lives apart, long after cambodia has struggled to move on. just heart wrenching.
