  • I tell you this about aikido : you must a good attacker and a good defender as well.

There is no cheating man ! . It seems the guys are falling down easily but in fact they just know how to fall , how to twist and turn round quickly otherwise the defender like mr seagal breaks your wrist or your arm .It goes very fast .You learn how to fall because of this violent way of aikido believe me ! No foolish at all in these videos !

  • @xFallenAngel The one thing you need to understand about how Aikido works is that you use the attackers energy against themself. If you come at an Aikido master 100mph with full intent, believe me you will be on your arse before you even knew what happened. Aikido is at its best and most effective when there is energy. The more energy you give to Nage, the more energy you will receive as Uke.

  • @elensong7 So true! :)

  • if this was in mma there would be alot of broken arms and knees so yes i would not be effective in mma because mma is a spectator sport akkido is not a sport its pretty much kill shots and street fighting your not gonna palmstrike sombodys nose in the ring it can kill

  • @alfreddegreat It's a respect toward sensei because he is teaching at that moment. If the sensei wanted, he'd hurt the "attacker". Aikido in a dojo is never meant to hurt, but to teach and learn. Aikido in a life or death situation is a dangerous weapon. That's why is the way of harmony; because even if great aikidokas have such a power, their intentions are always peaceful. If not, every aikidoka would be a serial killer. That's what O'sensei thought.

  • This is precisely the goal of Tai Chi Chuan.

  • @alfreddegreat masters make it look easy. A black belt can make any martial art look easier than a beginner.

  • Steven and Master Ken ,Ameri Do Te(see youtube video) should open a school together!!

  • I can tell you from my own aikido training dislocated joints broken bones are the reality of this art very painful.also can be usefull and works had to use my traing a couple times it's good to have suprise on your side.

  • Having fought 3 people for my Dan I can tell you its not only not easy but if they're higher ranking students red/brown/black, not getting your head handed to you the first few minutes or seconds is almost impossible. It does get easier when you relax and use better timing but its also harder because you can't use truly disabling techniques like bone breaks. I'm grateful for the experience now that I'm in law enforcement I'm not afraid of hand to hand. I an a 3rd Dan now BTW.
