  • @chavezjrotc A scarf as well, man I wish I'd been there to see this in person! Not a bad placement for everything you've had to overcome. Keep at it. You may find my Web site and books helpful. Just a thought.

    Take care!

  • @DrillMasterTraining and also our team member are wearing blue scarfs as well but you really cant tell in the video.over all we came in 7 out of 13 school and 6th in exhibition.

  • @chavezjrotc I'm glad my comments were helpful. I saw the cords, but could not make out the color. I'm glad it matches. You've had to overcome some great obstacles and I know it's not easy. My Web site may help, but in the mean time, keep practicing!

  • may not be drill lords but they can drill :P

  • @DrillMasterTraining thanks for all the critiques i really appreciate it. For the blue helmets we wear blue cords on the right shoulder to match. i know the routine aint great we made it up 2 days before comp so we didn't really get to practice. the ripple line is meant to be faster but like i said we didnt practice it much. 7/10 member are freshman so their marching and spinning isnt dat great. but i do agree with all the things you said.

  • Definitely Not Drill Lords!

  • There is a great lack of continuity throughout the team and also in the routine. It looks as though the team has not mastered the manual of arms; the Drillers look almost uncomfortable handling the weapon. Flow is non-existent in the routine: one move or set of moves does not flow into the next, it is very choppy visually. A good majority of time is spent on the ripple line. You want the ripple line to last no longer than 20 seconds or so and this line does not go well for you at all.

  • The white spats call attention to your feet and if they are not perfectly timed, you've lost the battle, so to speak. After the fancy 3/4 About Face the team walks, not marches, to the head judge to report in. At Port. Out of step. Out of alignment. This is XD! The report-in is just basic, not attention-grabbing! You need to grab your audience by the eyeballs and make them WANT to watch. So far, you haven't done that.

  • I really appreciate the blue helmets, what a great splash of color! I would suggest matching that blue with another part of the uniform or the rifle slings to better visually coordinate.

The team's timing is off and just looking at the entrance sequence, so are the rifle angles. You want this to be as perfect as possible since it is your opening statement, and what you are saying so far is that you do not pay attention to finer details.
