UXO's kill 20,000 people annually. It is estimated that it will cost $16 billion to rid of all the UXO in Laos and US spends $2 million annually, far less than what it costs daily for bombing of Lao during the Vietnam War. At the current rate of bomb removal due to lack of funds, it will take 3,000 years to rid of all the bombs in Laos.

Lao people are still dying from the effects of the indiscriminate and disproportionate bombing of Laos - then a neutral country - in 2011. Just as they were in 1995 when this film was made.
