2010 IC CE300 , hill and cul de sac, bus 4

Riding up a steep hill and through a cul de sac. Specs that impact the movie are a MaxxForce DT diesel, air ride, air brakes, electric door, full acoustic headliner.... Apparently the turn signal indicator tone isn't very loud, but at 0:07, you can hear it over the MF DT at full throttle, the heater, and a bit of talking. Also watch my bus 9 video; this bus is a lot quieter on the inside being a type C and having the acoustic headliner.

Doesn't this bring back some memories. I can still remember the first day our 2006 IC CEs were sent out on route.

So, I take it this is your new bus? How is it so far?

The transmission making that sound is normal. Mine does it and so do our IC FEs and older IC CEs.

But the computer learns how the driver drives.. so it tells the bus how to respond and stuff? seriously... hmm?

Are they flooring it already? Or just hard on it? Seemed like it had a good get go to it.

At first she did not floor it, but now she does. Although, today, she just got back from a 2-week vacation, and she didn't floor it at all... unless the mechanic driving it while she was gone flooring it all the time wore it down.

hey does it whine in the back of the bus when u hit around 3rd 4th gear if it does can u tell me what transmission it is

Oh, and if you're wondering about whiny transmissions in general, see my bus 9 cul de sac video; the Allison AT-545 whines a lot in second gear. But this bus has either an Allison PTS2500 or 3000.

ok ty because my 07 ic ce300 whines or watever it is in the back of the bus when i hit 3rd or 4th gear and it shifts like this bus and i was told that was the trans doing that i like the sound though

Is it a low-pitched type of whining noise? Not even like a whining noise, but a moaning noise. This bus does do that, along with our 2004 IC CE200, which I have a video of, too. It's probably a normal noise from the drive shaft / rear wheels.

ok to Zusca and 09 thomas EFusers , i have this to say , in the ic bus from probably to the first ic ce in 2003 to 2007 that i were you call the whiny transmission or shaft lifespan. Basically in 2003 and 2004 ic's before the big bus remodel change the transmissions or shafts whine at a medium noise from 3rd to 6th gear ,and then 2005 to 2007 ic's just for some reason got real loud inside for the trans from 3rd to 6th but 2008 and greater is now quieter as of today but louder out side .

This bus is better than the Carpenter School bus that im on 1991 International 3700 carpenter is messing me up everything but IC Corp is Better

That's chassis noise, wheels/driveshaft. All buses that I've been in do that.

Oh, I always assumed it was the transmission because on mine when she accelerates it makes that sound and does it along with the shifts and pull of the transmission.

Oh, I just wondered.. it seemed like it did from the fast take off. My driver did not floor my bus until half or 3/4s a year went by we had the bus. Then she said she only floored it to break in the bus so she can get more out of it.
