I never filmed the end of this series which is why I didn't upload it at the time. I'm putting it on now since I haven't gotten my act together to produce some better videos and I thought this series might be helpful to those learning antler percussion anyway. I ended up making a nice dogleg thebes out of flint ridge. Check out flintknappingtips.com as I update my website for more info. on knapping. thanks, Marty

  • People dont realize the importance of "scrunching" or "abraiding." Its so critical to get it right. But then again we all learn different styles and it works different for others. You are one awesome abo knapper though!

  • @BOHUNTER Thanks Steve. Just finished watching you make that turkey tail. Very nice job cleaning up that preform and cranking out a thiiin blade.

  • What material is that? I'm guessing it's Flint Ridge?

  • @IamMohawk Youre welcome Jim

  • @AwakenedBuddhist Thank you my friend!

  • @TonyNTenn Mohawks is a good guy,dont knock him.

  • I've been taking care of my 2 and 1 year old toddlers while my wife works. It's a lot of work. I never imagined I'd be in the situation. Work is hard to find out here in CA. Knapping has fallen by the way side. I have a whole bunch of projects I want to do but no time. The babysitter quit on us and now I have even less time! I still hope to see you at the Buttes. I look forward to the last video. You've really been a great inspiration! Thanks again! Jim

  • Good to hear from you Jimmy. Been wondering what you've been up to. I've got a 3rd segment here that I need to upload still where I finish this preform with a hammerstone.
