Nice bit of writing, Mike. Thanks!

How the F*CK can the audience look so bored when they are watching the KING OF THE PIPERS?!?!?!?!?!?!? That makes me really mad, I'd do anything to get that opportunity! :P

Absolute magic!
Delighted to read your acknowledgement of Liam's work alongside Shaun Davey.
I have all the albums you mention.
It's precious stuff.
Oh, I wish I'd been born Irish!
Best wishes from a Geordie.

Hey all, got a practice set! This video was a direct inspiration, I was checking out Liam O'flynn (The Piper in this video) and noticed that the company "Tara music", who publish his music have a link to the fella I got my Pipes from. He is based in Donegal, Martin Crossin is his name, just google him or go to Tara music and you should find a link on one of the Liam O'flynn pages, if you are thinking of getting a set, you will not be disappointed!

This music is ecstacy if you're a celt. Those who aren't celtic tend to giggle at the sound of the pipes.

I suspect that the audience are all serious musicians - they have the detached gaze that indicates total, utter concentration on what they're hearing.
They're not pipers though, or they'd be intently watching his bellows technique or his fingering :)
FUCKIN AWESOME!!!!

@boscoesarmy A Scottish rip off my arse. The uilleann pipe chanter has far more in common with the oboe than with the highland pipes. As with anything, ideas were taken from different places. The regulators were first developed on the pastoral pipes and along with the bellows certainly aren't features of the highland pipes.
