I have to say that I prefer the drum solos Neil has done in years past, say, the period from about 1981-1991.
I'm not really sure about where the sentiment comes from that informs the electronic section of his current solo. It sounds like a children's sing along at some points.
Are there any other drumming Rush fans out there that sympathize with this view?

I was there :) amazing concert. First time I saw them in concert. Neils solo blew me away.
