If an SHTF scenario hits you want to be prepared. Part of being prepared is having a good collection of knives. Your collection needs to represent a variety of knives. You need knives for wilderness survival, self defense, wood processing, hunting and game processing, as well as general utility knives such as your average edc folding knife. But do yourself a favor! go buy an axe and a saw. No matter how high quality your blade is, it is not going to be able to withstand the rigors of a SHTF scenario if you constantly abuse your knife chopping wood. Use the right tool for the right job. In this video I'm going to demonstrate knives that will satisfy any budget for the average prepper or survivalist. Many knives to include the Ontario SP1, many cold steel knives and M-tech budget knives. We will talk about designs like the bowie fighting knife and dagger designs.

  • what name and model are the condor(s) and Ontario (ka-bar clone) ?

  • @Aaronbillings The big condor is the Kumunga, the smaller one is the 5 inch bushcraft knife. The Ontario is the SP1.

  • When you have ONE knife, Your in the woods and you BREAK your blade. Now you FREEZE!! You need.......a Pocket Knife, Fighting Knife, machete OR a Kukri..........

  • @HerbWalker Not to mention I never keep all my knives in the same place. I keep one in my pocket, one on my belt and one in my pack. Small knives have the craftiest ways of falling out of the smallest zipper openings, and squirming out of pockets on rest breaks along the trail. And I've had more than one belt sheath fall apart over the years. Knives are slippery little devils.

  • Nice!!!

I Really like the Kukri and the ontario sp1.

  • @kessler003 I'm hopefully going to have a review up of the SP1 early next week. It's such a beautiful knife. The camera really doesn't do it justice. Thanks for watching.

  • nice vid man

  • "A knife isn't gonna cut it." Hehe that's a good one!

  • Nice vid. I hunt in Alaska, a knife you should review is called the Swing Blaze by outdoor edge. most effect gut hook ever made they call the gut hook on it the zipper I think. I gutted and field dressed a moose this past year and there is no worry of hitting the gut sack. You can zip right up the legs with ease and then trim the hair back, Just a really innovative awesome knife.

  • Some preps I need but dont have the cash for is a nice hachet a sledge axe a saw and a wheel barrel =) also some more knives oh and a machette
